What is required is a transient lodging tax license from the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority, which is free and mandatory. Note that Washoe County's well-documented STR permit covers unincorporated areas only; a property inside Reno or Sparks cannot obtain one. We confirm what your specific parcel requires and handle the registration and tax remittance.
