About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, multi-skilled handyman to provide on-call property maintenance on a retainer basis. This role suits someone who enjoys variety, is self-directed and wants flexible work rather than a full-time commitment.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on plumbing fixtures, electrical wiring, HVAC units, doors and windows
• Perform carpentry tasks such as drywall repair and basic carpentry projects
• Complete painting, minor landscaping, fixture installations, furniture assembly and other small projects
• Carry out scheduled inspections, preventative maintenance and seasonal upkeep
• Maintain tools/equipment and keep detailed records of completed work
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly, including occasional evenings or weekends
• Communicate effectively with the property owner about job status and improvements

Who You Are

• At least 2 years' experience in building maintenance, construction or a similar trade
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, carpentry and general repairs
• Comfortable using hand and power tools and reading manuals or blueprints
• Strong problem-solver with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lb and perform manual labour
• High-school diploma or equivalent; any trade certifications are a plus
• Must have your own reliable transportation and basic tools
• Good communication skills and customer-service mindset
• Valid driver's licence and ability to commute to multiple properties
